The Yashaswini Scheme Goa was launched on January 11, 2020, in the presence of Smt. Smriti Irani, the Union Minister of Textiles and Women and Child Development at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium at Taleigao South Goa.

The Government of Goa will provide interest free loan of up to Rs 5 lakh to women self-help groups (SHGs). The loan tenure is set for 5 years, with the total amount of disbursed in four instalments. The good thing is there is no repayment of loan from the first year, the repayment of loan will begin from the second year onwards.

The Yashaswini Scheme Goa is aimed at boosting women entrepreneurship by way of providing interest-free credit to Self Help Groups with business activity.
