Important Note: Applications must be submitted within one year of reaching the age of 18 or from the date of civil marriage registration. Any applications received after this one-year period will be rejected.

- Any self-attested document proving the applicant’s 15 years of residence in the State of Goa.
Important Note:
In place of the Residence Certificate, the previous School Leaving Certificate and the current Bonafide Student Certificate from the recognized educational institution the girl is currently attending can also be submitted. For girls who have discontinued their education at the school level, the gap period from the time of discontinuation until they reach 18 years of age or marriage can be verified with a residence certificate. For graduates, certificates of passing the Xth, XIIth, and Graduation exams will serve as sufficient evidence.
- Residence Certificate of the parent(s) (indicating 15 years or 25 years of residency, as applicable).
Important Note:
In place of the Residence Certificate, any documentary evidence demonstrating residence for the specified period may also be submitted, which may include:
- Land records, such as tenancy rights, mundcarial rights, occupancy rights, etc.
- Employment certificate; or
(c) Any other records deemed satisfactory by the Committee. - If the girl’s father or mother is employed with the State Government, Central Government, or public sector undertakings, she may submit a service certificate of 25 years issued by the Head of the Department instead of the residence certificate. However, the girl must be born in Goa and have studied in Goa up to class 10th.
- Birth certificates of the parent(s).
Important Note:
If a birth certificate is not available, one of the following documents can be submitted to show the date and place of birth of the parent(s):
(a) Baptism certificate;
(b) School leaving certificate of the parent(s);
(c) Any document demonstrating that one of the girl’s grandparents lived in Goa around the time of the parent’s claimed date of birth;
(d) Any other records that establish the date of birth of the parent(s).
- Aadhaar card (required for applicants who were born after April 1, 2013). However, the government may issue a separate order to relax the requirement for submitting the Aadhaar card and any other certificates for an extended period, as specified in that order.
- A self-declaration in the format provided in “Annexure II” of this scheme.
- Annual Income Certificate of the applicant’s parents for the most recent financial year, issued by the Competent Authority at the time of application submission. The certificate should reflect the combined annual income of both the mother and father, excluding any family income.
Important Note:
If the applicant meets all the criteria and has submitted all required documents as per the scheme but is unable to provide her parents’ documents due to the death of both parents, her application will be sanctioned if she submits her 15 years of residence certificate, her birth certificate, and the death certificates of both parents. The requirement for submitting a parental income certificate will be waived for such applicants.
